Youth Opportunities, a division of Health & Human Services, was created to provide leadership, support and advocacy for youth through the introduction of coordinated programs focused on positive youth development and youth employment.

Recreation Worcester
Recreation Worcester is a free, out-of-school time program for youth run by the City of Worcester. Youth participate in curriculum-based learning while focusing on our three main enrichment activities: athletics, arts, and academic programming. Youth also engage with community partners that help build programming and introduce participants to a number of positive, healthy, fun, educational activities.
Shannon (CSI) and SSYI
The City of Worcester's Division of Youth Opportunities oversees two state grants, Shannon (CSI) and SSYI, centered on violence prevention and intervention.
Governance Council
The Governance Council on Children, Youth and Families vision is to create equitable policies and systems that work together to promote health, safety, healing and social emotional wellbeing for children, youth and families in Worcester.
Youth Council and Committee
The Worcester Youth Council was created to provide young people with a direct connection to local government and to serve as the official voice of Worcester's youth.
