Francisco Hernandez, Treasurer and Collector of Taxes

The Treasurer & Collector of Taxes Division is responsible for the timely billing and collection of all of the City's revenues as well as being the source of disbursing all of the payments by the City and the Worcester Retirement System. The Treasurer functions as the disbursing agent for the City, issuing paychecks, direct deposit vouchers and vendor checks annually.

A refund check or credit may be issued to a taxpayer who has a credit balance on their bill, provided that they supply the City with the proper information and they have no other outstanding taxes due and payable to the City.

Parking Ticket Appeals

All appeals must be received within 21 days of the date of the ticket issuance. Parking ticket appeals may be made online, by mail or in person. Once the Parking Administration Office receives the parking ticket appeal, the ticket is placed on "hold" and does not accumulate penalties for the duration of the appeal.

Informing Worcester

Informing Worcester is the City's open data portal. The City has established this open data portal where any and all interested parties can obtain public information at no cost. The portal includes the Open Checkbook dataset.

Data includes payments made to vendors by the City of Worcester from 2015 to the present.

The City of Worcester fiscal year begins July 1st and ends June 30th. Please note that due to security considerations, certain checks may not be visible. Checks may take up to 35 days to display in the Open Checkbook dataset.

To search for Payments Made to Vendors in the portal, click on the Filter Data icon, , there you can choose to search on the Pmt_Date, Payee, Pmt_Amount, Departments or Spend_Categories.
