Once you have downloaded and filled out your application, you can submit it at Worcester Police Headquarters, 9-11 Lincoln Square, at the Operations window or you can mail the application to:

LTC/FID
License to Carry & Firearms Identification Card
Firearms Basic Safety Courses are offered twice a month, space for each course is limited and availability is on a first-come-first served basis. Firearms Identification Cards (FID) and License to Carry's (LTC) are processed by appointment only.
A License to Carry requires the applicant to be at least 21 years of age, a resident of the City of Worcester, and a US citizen or Permanent Resident. The License Fee is $100, as well as a $20 Firearms Safety Course fee for City residents and a $35 fee for non-residents.
For an FID, the minimum age requirement is 15 years of age and must be accompanied by a legal guardian up until the age of 18. There is a $100 application fee or $25 application fee for applicants ages 15 to 17 for an FID. Learn more about the specific requirements for a License to Carry and Firearms Identification Card.
Taxi Livery Licensing
Vehicles for hire are regulated and licensed by the police department and the License Commission of the City of Worcester to ensure the safety of the public.
Additionally, under the City Ordinances, the Chief of Police and the Worcester License Commission may promulgate rules and regulations for the administration, ownership and operation of taxicabs and livery vehicles in addition to those rules and regulations established by the Worcester City Council. Any violation of the rules and regulations issued by the Chief of Police or the Worcester License Commission for taxicab service shall be deemed a violation of the City Ordinances.

Constables
Citizens wishing to become a Constable for the City of Worcester should read and fully understand all of the following documents and information. Constables are licensed for a term of one year (ending on December 31st), and must renew their application and submit all completed materials to the Worcester Police Department no later than October 15th to ensure sufficient processing time.

Licensed Constables
The following is a list of licensed constables for the City of Worcester. They have been appointed by the City Manager. Their term of appointments are for one (1) year beginning January 1 of the year appointed, until December 31 at the end of the year. Each of these Constables will be required to have a picture identification card issued by the Worcester Police Department. Only the below list persons are allowed to serve as Constables at this time.
